SNCF Gares & Connexions is one of the five companies that make up the SNCF group. Affiliated with SNCF Réseau, it is responsible for managing passenger stations on the French national rail network. The company generated more than 1.208 billion euros in revenue in 2014, a figure expected to double by 2023 thanks to growing commercial activity within stations, already present in over 400 French cities.

To simplify the user journey in stations and surprise its customers with innovative technologies, SNCF aims to test AI-powered customer assistance agents in stations.

The character is displayed in a Holobox, while the additional information is displayed on a giant interactive 8k screen. The device is positionned at Gare du Nord, Paris, France.

France’s most famous voice, Simone, is back in action with a new look, thanks to a real-time animated 3D character. Users can speak directly to her, and Simone responds vocally and accurately to travelers’ questions. Connected to a variety of network services, she can provide train schedules, station services, routes across the Île-de-France region, and much more, using maps and images to guide users.

The project is developed by INVERSIVE studio, with the collaboration of Brain Analytics.

The project received the SNCF Innovation Award 2024 and Digital Transformation Award 2024.
